How does peer support help me?
How can I receive help for myself and loved ones of those impacted
by domestic abuse and trauma?
H.O.P.E. Peer Support
Our vision is focused on Empowering Women: overcoming Trauma and Building Strength for today.
Participating in a Peer Support Group provides an opportunity for:
- Trained Facilitators who are peers and are either Certified Peer Recovery Support , Certified Advocates or Certified Wellness Coaches.
- Trauma-informed and person centered approach.
- Confidential sharing and support of one another.
- Identifying signs of domestic abuse and trauma.
- Connecting with a Domestic abuse advocate to assist with safety planning and community resources.
- Sharing tips on creating a safety plan, wellness plan and creating life goals.
- Learning how to recognize triggers and create a self-care routine for yourself, as well as for your family.
The purpose is to create an atmosphere as a collective group of women that aims to create a sense of belonging, empathy, and understanding among its members. It is a space where each person’s unique perspective is not only acknowledged but also cherished, contributing to personal growth, mutual respect, and the building of meaningful connections.
We offer non-judgmental support and guidance to families.
Individuals recognize and identify their needs as healing takes place. Facilitators provide referrals and community linkage.
Workshops are scheduled and held by supporting agencies to support the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of the group.
